Weekend Plans in Bangalore: Where to Eat, Drink and Relax

August 18, 2026 6 min read

By the time Friday evening hits, you are entirely drained. You have survived five days of heavy traffic, endless standup meetings, and the usual string of auto rejections. Figuring out your weekend plans in Bangalore usually goes one of two ways. You either decide to stay in bed for two days straight, or you try to cram a million activities into forty eight hours and end up feeling even more tired by Monday morning.

Surviving a standard week in this city means you absolutely deserve a proper weekend in Bangalore to completely reset your brain. But by Thursday afternoon, the group WhatsApp chat starts buzzing with everyone trying to make weekend plans that actually work for the whole squad. Half the group wants to go trekking, someone wants a quiet cafe, and the rest just want a cold pint.

Keeping It Local and Easy

When you search for things to do in Bangalore on weekends, you usually get endless lists of crowded tourist spots or long drives that take up your whole Saturday. The truth is, most weekend outings in bangalore end up feeling like a massive chore just because of the infamous traffic. You spend two hours stuck at the Silk Board junction just trying to get to a cafe, and by the time you arrive, you are already exhausted.

There are definitely great places to visit in Bangalore on weekends, like taking a slow morning walk under the massive trees in Cubbon Park or checking out the street art around Church Street. But pacing is everything in this city. People here take their Saturday afternoons very seriously. The whole city collectively decides to sleep in and take things slow. You want the relaxed, unplugged vibe of those famous weekend getaways in bangalore without actually having to pack a bag and drive three hours out of the city limits. You just want a massive, leafy backyard right in your own neighborhood where you can sit back, eat well, and actually hear your friends talk over the music.

The Ultimate Backyard Escape

That exact need for a local escape is why we built our spaces. If you are trying to lock down your weekend plans in bangalore without dealing with the usual chaos, Biergarten is exactly where you need to be. We have sprawling, open air locations in Whitefield, Koramangala, Manyata, and Bellandur. We designed these spaces specifically to pull you out of the corporate bubble and drop you into a relaxed garden environment.

You can walk in, grab a massive wooden table under the open sky, and just breathe. We completely refuse to rush our tables. You can drop by for a quick afternoon bite or let your lunch stretch seamlessly into dinner. Bangalore weather is also notoriously unpredictable. It might be sunny when you leave your apartment, but raining by the time you arrive. Our open, airy structures let you enjoy the cool breeze and the sound of the rain without getting soaked.

Food That Hits the Spot

A great outdoor setting does not mean much if the food falls flat. We wanted to make sure we serve some of the best food in bangalore, focusing strictly on local comforts and perfect pairings. Our kitchen team knows exactly what you crave after a long week of boring office cafeterias.

You can dive into rich curries that carry a perfect kick of spice, or share smoky tandoori starters with your entire team. If you have a massive appetite, our tandoori platters are built strictly for sharing. We also stick to our roots with authentic German sausages, fresh house made pastas, and crispy bar bites. Because our menu is so wide, you never have to argue with your friends about what to order. You can easily view our complete food and drink lineup online before you even leave your apartment.

The Stories Poured on Tap

Of course, you cannot talk about our space without talking about what flows from the taps. We are widely known for pouring the freshest craft beer in Bangalore, but the real magic is the story behind every single glass. Our tap list is completely inspired by our regulars, their odd requests, and the funny moments that happen right here at our communal tables.

Let us walk you through the pints you will be drinking.

Nik’s 9 to 5 is our classic Pilsner. Nik is a regular who traded his lucky guitar for a highly stressful career in day trading. Between his intense meetings and family check ins, his chaotic day always ends with a fresh pilsner. He stays up raving until five in the morning, so naming an energetic beer after him made perfect sense.

Code Reddy is our signature Red Ale. Getting an invite into the local Reddy clan is notoriously tough. You have to prove you are worthy of their inner circle. This Red Ale shares that exact exclusive vibe. It is rich, full of complex flavors, and totally worth the hype once you get a taste. Just whisper the code to the staff.

Lucky Strike is a completely unique Smoked Lager. Lucky was a vegetarian with an amazing palate who absolutely loved the art of brewing. He experimented with zero fear and discovered a very smooth, distinct smoky flavor that makes this lager stand out from everything else we pour.

Kohli’s Climax is our dark Dunkel Lager. Kohli just wanted to throw a massive New Year’s Eve party, but her grand plans fell totally flat. The only thing that saved her night was the deep, comforting warmth of this dark beer. It gave her anti climatic story a very happy ending.

Nina’s Nightmare is a bold Weizenbock. Nina is a total troublemaker. She stood right by the bar, drinking heavy Weizenbocks and proudly telling everyone that women can handle the strongest drinks on the menu. The wild stories from that night are still floating around our staff today.

Rishi’s Accent is our house IPA. Rishi went to the United Kingdom for three short weeks and came back to his group speaking in a terrible, forced British accent. His friends immediately gave him the silent treatment. This hoppy, pleasantly bitter IPA captures that exact sharp bite perfectly.

Oopsie Daisy is our classic Hefeweizen. Daisy is the ultimate friend and the life of the party. But after a few too many wheat beers one night, a few arguments started and she made a very quiet exit, whispering oopsie as she left. It is a bright, fun, and incredibly easy beer for a sunny afternoon.

Mixing Work and Play

While the weekends are all about escaping the office, we know that work life and social life often mix in this city. A lot of our weekend regulars also come back to us during the week to host team outings. If your company is looking to celebrate a massive launch or just get the team away from the office monitors on a Friday evening, we make it incredibly easy. You can review our custom corporate packages online. We handle the food, the drinks, and the seating layout so you can actually enjoy a drink with your colleagues without stressing over the bill splitting.

Claim Your Table

Whether you want to catch up with old friends, read a book by yourself with a cold pint, or celebrate making it through another brutal work week, our tables are ready for you. We keep the doors open from Monday to Friday between 12 PM and 12 AM, and we extend the hours on Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM to 1 AM.

Since the weekend crowds roll in early, our outdoor tables get snatched up incredibly fast. Grabbing a spot ahead of time is always the smartest move. Just hit our reservations link to secure your table and skip the wait entirely. Step out of the traffic, pull up a chair, and stay a while.
